Kevin grew up in La Canada and spent most of his time riding around on his skateboard, bike, ski's or a surfboard. These skills served him well in Colorado at Regis University and at USC.

Kevin has been in the world of retail real estate since 1986 when he joined Grubb & Ellis as a runner for Richard Landess (see below).  After years on the Landlord side in the San Gabriel Valley office, he left in '95 to focus on Tenant representation with Brian Tracy and a cast of fun characters at RNLP.  In 2012 Kevin formed Irish Commercial Brokerage in Manhattan Beach.

Over the years Kevin has assisted the roll-out of numerous clients entering the Southern California marketplace.  Some of the companies that he assisted include: Carl's Jr, Hollywood Video, Del Taco, McDonald's, CVS Pharmacy, T-Mobile, Wendy's, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Ralph's Grocery Company.

In addition to helping Tenant’s find great leasing opportunities, Kevin also has assisted retailers as Landlord / Developer.   Projects include: build to suit developments for Wendy’s, T-Moble, and Smart & Final as well as entitlement and site work for McDonald’s.

Charlie Cangelosi

Charlie Cangelosi PIC

Charlie was born and raised in San Fernando, California where he excelled at playing basketball and was a quick and feisty shooting guard.

Once he realized he wasn’t going to be the next Larry Bird, he set his sights on the real estate industry and hasn’t looked back for over 20 years.

Charlie started his career in 1991 with La Cagnina & Associates as a runner and worked his way up to Sr. Leasing Associate before the company was sold to Grubb & Ellis in 1996.   While with Grubb & Ellis Management Services (GEMS), Charlie was put in charge of the West Coast Leasing effort for all the Managed properties within the GEMS portfolio (over 8 million square feet of shopping centers).

Charlie then took a job as Director or Leasing for UDO Real Estate where he grew the Leasing department to include Tenant Rep, Landlord Rep and Shopping Center sales.  Upon Leaving UDO Real Estate  Charlie joined OTO Development specializing in the roll out of extended stay brand hotels for Hilton and Marriott in the west coast.  Charlie’s next stop was at O&S Holdings, where he managed and leased their US portfolio.

Missing the entrepreneurial call of Brokerage, Charlie joined Retail Net Lease Properties, Inc. (RNLP), where he worked with many different Tenant’s and Landlord’s eventually becoming a partner in the firm.   In 2012, Charlie made the jump to Present Value Properties, Inc. (PVP, Inc.) to open their Los Angeles county office in Woodland Hills. In 2014 he reunited Kevin Barry at Irish Commercial Brokerage  to continue their successful partnership.

You can still find Charlie in the local gym, but these days he wears a coaches hat, teaching the local youth how to perfect that jump shot.

Craig McKenna

Craig

Craig grew up in Edison New Jersey, home of the other famous renaissance man Thomas.  Where Thomas focused on phonographs and light bulbs, Craig fancied Soccer, Surfing, Cycling, Jeet Kune Do martial arts and Tai Chi. While Craig and Thomas shared a love for trains, that’s where their similarities ended. When it came to schooling, Thomas attended for a total of 12 weeks. Craig, on the other hand attended Our Lady of Peace for 9 years, Saint Joseph’s High School for 4, University of Delaware for another 4 (where he received a BS in Accounting, made the Dean’s List and was a member of Beta Alph Psi, an honor society for Accounting). After College, Craig worked for Arthur Anderson as a CPA and went on to University of North Carolina where he received an MBA in real estate and finance.

In 1990 Craig entered the world of Real Estate when he joined Studley in Los Angeles. For the next 25 years he had an amazing career focusing on office and retail brokerage transactions.  One of Craig’s favorite accomplishments while at Studley was having three beautiful and talented children - Michelle, Lauren and John.  One of his favorite work projects was becoming the Western-region real estate representatives for H mart in 2006.  Working with the largest Asian supermarket chain in the US for over 10 years has provided an opportunity to help other Asian retailers in the market such as Haidilao restaurant group with their Hotpot and Shabushabu concepts.

Craig is a professional student, he loves visiting new places and meeting new people.  He’s curious, a great listener, and is always learning and sharing. It’s no wonder that when he found real estate, he never looked back. He now continues his thoughtful work at Irish Commercial Brokerage and brings his creative set of skills and talents to our team, enriching the experience and service.

Richard Landess

In the early years Richard's family moved from Santa Cruz to Pacific Palisades where he and identical twin brother Scott, livened up the neighborhood and played on the Pali High football Team. He continued to impart fun at San Diego State and UCLA.

Richard entered the world of retail real estate in 1978 when he joined the Downtown Los Angeles office of Grubb & Ellis.  Richard opened the retail division of the San Gabriel Valley office, getting him closer to brother Scott, who was then at Grubb / Ontario.  In 1989 Richard joined the retail division of CB, then to Lee & Associates in '96, and then teamed up with brother Scott for a long run at Strategic Properties in '97.  Richard joined Irish Commercial Brokerage in early 2013, reuniting with his little buddy Kipper.

Richard has successfully represented Landlords and Tenant's over the years, but he found his true calling when he associated with Walgreens who was entering the market in the mid '90s.  Known as "The Dirt Dogs", "The Dynamic Duo", or sometimes "Two Tons of Fun", Richard and Scott completed the amazing feat of assembling over 90 prime signalized corners for new Walgreens drive-thrus.  Their success stemmed from their honest approach and their abundant ability to make friends with everyone they met.

Richard is presently working his magic assembling sites for CVS Pharmacy in the Los Angeles marketplace.

Chuck Levine

ChuckPic2

Chuck is a Los Angeles native having grown up in Tarzana. Between skiing and surfing, he attended Crespi High School and then went off to UCSB for a degree in Business Economics.  The mountains called and he moved to Colorado to ski and get an MBA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins.  Deciding not to become a ski instructor, Chuck moved to Chicago to begin his career in Foreign Currency Trader and worked at NationsBank and First Chicago.  After 8 arctic winters, he chose a transfer to Phoenix as a currency advisor / sales for Bank One.  Two unbelievably blistering summers later, he moved to Los Angeles with a CFA in hand and worked at Wells Fargo within the Foreign Exchange Group as an advisor.

Back home at the beach, Chuck transitioned fields completely in 2004 and began his career as an owner/administrator of Chandler Convalescent Hospital in Glendale, a 99 bed, privately owned and operated skilled nursing facility.  This proved a perfect fit between his love of business and flexibility with a busy family life.

Now, Chuck joins Irish Commercial Brokerage as an honorary Irishman with a strong background in Finance and Business.  He is presently focused on developing opportunities for retailers expanding in the market and is busy entitleing and financing a development with Stater Bros and McDonald’s.

As our spiritual advisor we can count on Scott's wisdom to help us through the tough times, enjoy the happy times and provide divine guidance when we are thinking of buying a used boat.

Good times, good friends, good health to you &  the luck of the Irish in all that you do.
